ETravel Solutions announced recently that they would cooperate with Eastern Hotel Group to launch an advanced central reservation system (CRS) and group website based on this system as well as other marketing services (www.easternairhotels.com). This is the first time for the three domestic air companies to run the central reservation system.

The leading central reservation system utilized by the Eastern Air Hotel Group is provided by Etravel Solutions. This CRS is the seamlessly connected to GDS and Internet Distribution System (IDS) to distribute Eastern Air affiliated hotels to the terminals of 670 thousand travel agencies and thousands of internet distributors. The system also has booking engine with the one screen Flash, which combines room type, image, rate and other booking information on one screen, to make the reservation process convenient.

More importantly, Eastern Air Hotel Group’s CRS may connect to its E-ticket System to offer the reservation service with dynamic “ticket plus hotels” package. It can realize the share of air brand and hotel brand in the general Eastern Air Group in order to enhance the influence among the travelers and competitive power in the air market.

Central reservation System is the reservation network utilized by hotel groups and shared by all their members. It enables the hotel group to manage its affiliated hotels’ allotment, rate and promotion information and set up connections to other travel distribution systems in order to help their customers with real time reservations, such as: GDS (Global Distribution System), IDE (Internet Distribution System) and all the customer service channels of Eastern Air Group (Eastern frequent Guest service website: www.easternmiles.com; call center: 95808).
